Synthomer Immingham Lithene Plant IS Rewire

Following hazardous area inspections on site by our engineers a number of non-compliances were recorded that required remedial action. MDB Engineering won the contract to carry out these works and delivered a successful rationalisation of the Intrinsically Safe (IS) circuits including the upgrade of the Interface Room introducing Barrier Panels and other safe systems. The scheme was carried out whilst the plant was fully operational so a programme was devised where our works did not affect site operations and we used planned site shutdowns during the programme for various switchovers as not to create any further shutdown requirements.
